Affectionate, hand reared bunnies, raised in Petitcodiac, NB
Welcome to Riverbend Rabbitry! We are dedicated to raising high quality, lovable house bunnies! These bunnies are my passion and I strive to raise perfect companions. We give happy, healthy bunnies to loving forever homes🥰
We focus on temperament, health, intelligence, and overall adorableness! Our goal at Riverbend is to specialize in raising a variety of lionheads of different colours including harlequins, magpies and blue eyed, VM buns. My rabbits have been a great comfort to me. They have wonderful personalities and are amazing emotional support animals. It's been an exciting journey with these buns and we are dedicated daily to providing the best care possible for our special little friends! All our bunnies are spoiled! They get regular exercise, fresh local hay, proper rabbit feed, a large variety of fresh veggies, filtered well water, and plenty of attention from me, my family and friends. All of my bunnies are litter trained or are in the process of being litter trained before they go to their forever homes, and they are all housed in solid floor hutches and pens. All bunnies are treated with revolution, a preventative maintenance against fleas/ticks/mites etc. The majority of people interested in our bunnies are looking for an affectionate bunny companion as their indoor family pet. I may also sell to Breeders and homesteaders on rare occasions. *We are a registered rabbitry through the American Rabbit Breeder Association If you are interested in adopting one of our buns, please read our sales policy carefully on our website. Also be sure to follow us on Instagram and facebook for daily updates on our story and adorable pictures of our buns! Thank you! Natty 🐰🍌 |

Education and bunny advocacy
Through careful breeding and an enriching environment we want to raise high quality bunnies that will be an excellent addition to the family. We also work hard to educate bunny owners to be the best caregivers they can be. We also offer ongoing support as you start this new chapter with your furry friend. We want to share our love for these gentle creatures. They are incredibly misunderstood. Many people are shocked to find out my bunnies free roam in a house, are litter trained, and have huge personality!
The bond between an animal and a person is very special
As someone who has had emotional support animals and bonded with them in the most unique ways, I want to be able to share that with others. Everyone deserves the opportunity to have a special and life changing bond with their pets. I would love to connect you with your new best friend!
Is a bunny right for me?
When deciding if a bunny is the right companion for your family, here are some things to consider;
If you can answer yes to ALL of the above questions, a bunny might be the perfect pet for you!
- DAILY, are able to provide the following for your bunny? Time and room to exercise and play, quality time to bond with them, a clean pen/litter box, fresh water and hay?
- Are you prepared to spend anywhere from $200-$400 to get your bunny fixed? Getting your bunny fixed is very important for you and your bunny. It protects them for reproductive cancers/illness and it removes unwanted hormonal behaviors so that you can have a better relationship with you bunny.
- Did you know that bunnies do NOT make a good starter pet for kids? They are more work then a dog is when they have proper exercise time and socialization. They are not just a pet that sits in a cage all day. Nor is it a child's responsibility to be educated on bunny care and follow through, that's an adults job! Trust me I have dogs and a cat, the bunnies are more work, and they are worth every minute.
- Are you able to keep large amounts of hay in your home at all times? are you willing to spend money on high quality rabbit pellets and fresh veggies weekly?
- If you have children or other pets, do you have a safe space for the bunny to be away from them? If you have another bunny, do you have separate housing space for them if they don't get along?
- When you go away for work or vacation, is there someone who can come watch your bunny? They cannot just be left alone with a bunch of food as they need daily care, and interactions, just like any other house pet does.
- Are you certain you aren't allergic to bunnies or hay? Have you spent time with some bunnies to see if they are what you want to commit to for the next 8-10 years?
If you can answer yes to ALL of the above questions, a bunny might be the perfect pet for you!
